Hamid El Shaeri Supports the Libyan Revolution

Updated
Few months ago, we wrote about the Hamid Al Sha'eri, the godfather of the Libyan music, (Read here) The man who was the engineer behind hundreds of Arabic pop song favorites starting with the late 80s till today. He is making Arabic music better, that's why we wrote about this Arabic phenomenal musician who has a knack for creative musical arrangements. Hamid publicized the news about the aid caravan that will be leaving Egypt to transport aid to various Libyan towns.

Now Hamid happens to also be a native of Libya, the country where its people are in revolts against the 42 year rule of the colorful dictator Muammar Al Gaddafi. Hamid did not wait long to come out against the brutal dictator who in seven days has killed upward of 300 citizens. In a very clear and in your face statement, the Libyan musician declared his support of the Libyan revolution.

Hamid Al Sha'eri condemns the colonel for the reported use of massive force and hiring African mercenaries to go after his own people. Hamid offered to do what he can of providing food and aide to the people of Libya and he also called on everyone to do the same till they bring an end to this regime that has ruled over Libya with an iron fist for more than 42 years. Enough is Enough!

Today the artist went further, he called on the Egyptian army to come to the rescue of their cousins in Libya as the regime seems to have lost his mind and now taking it on his people. Hamid appealed to the Arab countries to do something to relieve the people of Libya, he called for more medical aid. Link
