Najat Al Saghira, the Heavenly Encounter

If you ever wondered what angels sound like, you can never guess. But if you want the earth version of this heavenly sound then you are in luck with this song of Najat Al Saghira. This Egyptian singer (father is Palestinian) was one of the golden girls of Arabic music in the 60s and 70s. Chances are she is the girl that your father wanted to get to have dinner with and your mother wanted to be like her.

I grew up in the 80s and my parents were always getting in the zone to the songs of this singer who can do the songs Oum Kalthoum did, but make it a bit more hip and a bit more charming and personal. she shows emotions beyond the song, meaning she had her persona that she shows during her performance. Unlike many other singers who take on their persona form the songs they are performing.

I know that guys and girls might not see eye to eye on many things, but when it comes to Najat, they both came to love her and enjoy her songs.
