The Scent of Warda

Algerian diva is a living legend, she is one of those singers that passes the test of time, one of the few singers that both men and women agree one. Not just that across generations, she has an appeal that many wish to accomplish.

I love watching old concert footage of this lady that till this day is rocking the Arabic music world, she has an album coming out this year, she just performed in Morocco's Mawazeen music festival in the opening day. And the Star Academy fought really hard to get her to come on the show.

While she makes Egypt her home--easier for her career, her heart is always in Algeria and she is one of those Algerian figures that are untouchable virtually anywhere you go. When the Egyptians and Algerians were not the best friends during the world cup qualifiers, tension was hight. She was in Egypt doing just fine.

I am glad to see her performing and helping people live moments of the past and earning herself new fans with her gems that stays with people, moves people and lives in people's memories.
